Treatment for depression involves talk therapy, medication and in extreme cases electroconvulsive therapy. Talk therapy includes behavioral, interpersonal psychotherapy as well as support groups. Medications include anti-depressants, mood stabilizers, anti-anxiety and anti-psychotic medications and in some case hormone therapy.
