I've also found that 15 minutes every morning and/or evening of stretching exercises can make a big difference for me. I am a very active person when not fighting depression, and it is very difficult to get to the gym in this condition. But for people who are lacking motivation, or who, like myself, have had some kind of surgery such as knee replacements, carpal tunnel, etc., that prevents strenuous exercise, stretching exercises are really good. You can find them just by googling the term. No need to buy a book about it.
